Sometimes our relationships with others and our choices to engage or separate from relationships has a tremendous impact on our mental health and functioning. Sometimes the loss of a relationship due to life changes or death can lead to profound sadness. Together we can evaluate your current problems and how the changes in your relationships may have a role in your distress.
For some, difficult life events (such as illness, job stress, family concerns) have led to a pessimistic view of the world and worry. Sometimes your sleep or physical health can even be affected by your thinking. In therapy, we can evaluate your thinking and how it may be influencing the way you feel physically and emotionally. We can work to change your negative thoughts to more realistic appraisals of your environment.
As partners in the therapeutic process, we will address your concerns and devise a plan to move you toward the future you have always imagined.
